At ShiroWell, our name reflects both our roots and our purpose.
“Shiro,” a nickname for Wanjiru, honors our Kenyan heritage and the generations who farmed the rich soils of Kirinyaga and Murang’a on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. “Well” speaks to our founder’s calling as a nurse practitioner and her lifelong commitment to healing and community health. Together, ShiroWell stands for heritage, wellness, and purpose.
Raised among family coffee farms, our founder learned early the value of the land and the people who nurture it. Her journey in healthcare and global missions inspired a vision to connect exceptional coffee with community well-being.

A Note from Our Founder

I’m Shiro, and ShiroWell is a dream rooted in both heritage and heart. I grew up in Kenya, amid the red soils and vibrant coffee farms on the slopes of Mt. Kenya, where my grandparents and parents tended their crops with care and pride. Coffee was more than a drink—it was community, tradition, and connection.
Life later brought me to the United States, where I trained as a nurse practitioner. Through medical work and global mission trips, I witnessed the power of care and community. ShiroWell brings these paths together: sharing Kenya’s finest coffee while uplifting the farmers and communities who make it possible.
